Microsoft has been really aggressive lately. Be it in their pursuit of cloud computing, a better OS platform, the smartphone market or in the search arena.China internet market is without a doubt a huge market. Microsoft has teamed up with Alibaba, that is 40% owned by Yahoo, to launch a new China search engine dubbed Etao.
Baidu is still the number 1 leader in China and at this point it is still not certain which search tech would be used as there is Bing, Yahoo as well as Sohu sogu's search tech - which alibaba had agreed to have a stake in - as possibilities.
